The Little Red Book of Wisdom - Non-fiction

The Little Red Book of Wisdom.

Wisdom. Seems like an easy concept. Seems like something we should all easily grasp. On the contrary, wisdom seems like a foreign concept in our society. Quite often we know the wise path to take and yet don’t take it. Throughout this book the author does a wonderful job of illustrating the wise path against the path that will result in destructive consequences. He offers practical advice for dealing with various situations form work related scenarios to those situations that arise at home. While choices reflecting wisdom aren’t always the most popular choice, this author makes a hard case for why we should follow the path less traveled. I highly recommend this book as a wake up call for some and a well timed reminder for others. Without wisdom, and ultimately the One that provides it, we will find ourselves somewhere we never intended to be.

Man Alive - Patrick Morley

Man Alive
By Patrick Morley

The challenge of being a man in today’s society is a real one. Men are faced with a barrage of issues and little is offered to them in the way of encouragement. This reality all too often causes men to wander into a sort of spiritual darkness that leaves them grasping for the light. Jesus promised not just life but an abundant life. How do we reach that which Christ has said is truly attainable? How do we go from simply being men to men fully alive in the grace of God?

Patrick Morley walks men through very practical steps and strategies in order to begin to experience the life Christ has promised. This book offers hope to men striving for greatness and illuminates that which is truly important in our lives. Morley does a profound job of speaking to the depths of the soul of man. I highly recommend this study of true manhood.

For Men Only

Women. Who can understand them? Well.... according to "For Men Only" we all can. Turns out that  authors Shaunti and Jeff Feldhahn believe we can finally begin to make sense of the maze known as women. With tons of research and difficult questions asked, this book strives to give men the road map they need to navigating that special someone in their life.
This is truly a book in which the authors don't rely upon their own point of views. They have done massive research and surveying in order to provide the most accurate information possible.  At many times the results of the research and surveys were completely contradictory to what I would have believed. In fact, the responses of many women will most likely catch most guys off guard. All too many times we as guys think that women just naturally think and process in the same manner we do. Research proves otherwise.
For any guy out there desiring to better understand and relate to that special woman in his life this is a must read. With an unabashed desire to speak the truth and the research there to support it, "For Men Only" truly strives to provide the most accurate picture of the opposite sex possible.
